In light of the devastating events taking place in the Libyan city of Derna and its neighboring areas, on behalf of the Libya Build team, we offer our deepest condolences to the affected families and communities that lost their lives or loved ones in the disastrous floods caused by Storm Daniel.
In partnership with 360 Tanmia, Libya Build is launching a humanitarian initiative to support the afflicted of Derna and the neighboring villages of Al Jabal Al Akhdar district.
This initiative aims to adapt Libya Build to embrace support and relief operations for the victims of Derna and the villages surrounding Al Jabal Al Akhdar by inviting and gathering participating companies, businessmen, and action-takers in the build and construction industry to cooperate and provide financial and moral support with equipment, materials, and mechanical power to meet the basic needs of the affected citizens.
The initiative comes in partnership with The Restaurant & Food Show and Libya Pharma for medical and pharmaceutical products, which are scheduled to be held in Benghazi during the same period of Libya Build and in cooperation with governmental and private institutions, civil society organizations and actors on the ground, in order to unify efforts and mobilize capabilities to rehabilitate Derna and the affected areas, and provide the needs of the afflicted as a result of the flood and hurricane.
